20 Linux Funny Commands

Linux is fun! Huhhh. OK so you don’t believe me. Mind me at the end of this article you will have to believe that Linux is actually a fun box

1. Command: sl (Steam Locomotive)

You might be aware of command ‘ls‘ the list command and use it frequently to view the contents of a folder but because of miss-typing sometimes you would result in ‘sl‘, how about getting a little fun in terminal and not “command not found“.

Install sl

root@dharmin:~# apt-get install sl (In Debian like OS)
root@dharmin:~# yum -y install sl (In Red Hat like OS)
Output
root@dharmin:~# sl
sl funny command
sl command
This command works even when you type ‘LS‘ and not ‘ls‘.

2. Command: telnet

No! No!! it is not as much complex as it seems. You would be familiar with telnet. Telnet is a text-oriented bidirectional network protocol over network. Here is nothing to be installed. What you should have is a Linux box and a working Internet.
root@dharmin:~# telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl
telnet command
telnet command

3. Command: fortune

what about getting your random fortune, sometimes funny in terminal.

6. Command: script

OK fine this is not a command and a script but it is nice.
root@dharmin:~# for i in {1..12}; do for j in $(seq 1 $i); do echo -ne $i×$j=$((i*j))\\t;done; echo;done

1×1=1

 ____________
< I Love nix >

        \ ^__^

                ||----w |
                ||     ||
How about pipelineing ‘fortune command‘, described above with cowsay?
root@dharmin:~# fortune | cowsay

 _________________________________________
/ Q: How many Oregonians does it take to \
| screw in a light bulb? A: Three. One to |
| screw in the light bulb and two to fend |

                ||----w |
                ||     ||
Note: ‘|‘ is called pipeline instruction and it is used where the output of one command needs to be the input of another command. In the above example the output of ‘fortune‘ command acts as an input of ‘cowsay‘ command. This pipeline instruction is frequently used in scripting and programming.
xcowsay is a graphical program which response similar to cowsay but in a graphical manner, hence it is X of cowsay.
apt-get insatll xcowsay
yum install xcowsay

Samsung Galaxy S5 leaked benchmark 2K Screen

Samsung Galaxy S5 leaked benchmark 2K Screen

The latest rumors concern its body and some of its specs. According to EMSOne, a Japanese-based website, ODM Catcher Technology (Taiwan), BYD (China) and Ju Teng (Taiwan) has been assigned to make between 10 and 30 million unibody metal shells for the next high-grade Galaxy device. That could very well turn out to be the Galaxy S5.

Samsung Galaxy S5 leaked benchmark 2K Screen_FeatureUp

This fits nicely with the leaked metal frame we've seen before which was also said to be for the Galaxy S5. Some rumors are hinting at a two-pronned approach by Samsung - producing a metal-clad flagship of a new F series along with an all-plastic S-series member.

And in other news a device, by the name of Samsung SM-G900S, has popped up on GFX Bench running on a highly-clocked Snapdragon 800 chipset and the Adreno 330 GPU. The clock is at most 2.46GHz. Sadly this isn't the Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420 GPU nor is it the 64-bit Exynos chip we're hoping to see sooner rather than later.

Samsung Galaxy S5 leaked benchmark 2K Screen_FeatureUp

There's more, though - the SM-G900S sports a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 or 2K. And if the rumors of either a 5" or 5.2" screen turn out true we may be looking at an insane density of over 560 pixels per inch. As far as results go, the device in question rounded up 27.7 fps on the T-Rex 1080p Offscreen test - on which we've found the Galaxy Note 3 to be the best with 26 frames per second.
Other rumors suggest the Galaxy S5 will be launched (or at least shown) as early as Q1 of next year, have a 16 MP snapper with the ISOCELL tech, perhaps without optical image stabilization and possibly with some elements resistance in tow. That is hard to take in all at once, we know.

But let's not get too ahead of ourselves as we highly doubt the Galaxy S5 to premiere with a mid-2013-grade chip inside (no offense, Snapdragon 800). We'll have to wait a little longer.

Top 25 Goriest Games of all Time

Top 25 Goriest Games of all Time

Gore Games

Top 25 Goriest Games of all Time_FeatureUp

Viscerality—that is, actual 'viscerality' and not just game journalists using the word to describe anything fluidly violent—has been a part of videogames for as long as videogames have been capable of putting out detailed graphics.
Once upon a time, artists had to render each sprite frame by frame to depict violence and gore, but these days, games engines are more than capable of depicting it with the use of ragdoll physics and detachable skeletal models, along with a host of shaders and texture effects.
I've taken the liberty of not including many of the really older games which simply haven't aged well, but I've included a few surprises on that front.
Without further ado, here are the top 25 most violent, and goriest games of all time.

#25 NeverDead

NeverDead is the latest game to come out of the insane minds of Rebellion, best known for their work on the Aliens vs Predator series, and Shinta Nojiri, famed director of many titles in the Metal Gear series. The whole game is based around the concept of reattachable body parts. The main character, who happens to be immortal, can lose his body parts only to reattach them as the situation requires.

#24 Dead Island

Dead Island may have wowed us with its touching trailer, but the family had absolutely nothing to do with the game—which mostly consists of beating zombies over the head with boat paddles and makeshift weapons.

#23 Fallout 3

Fallout 3 doesn't have the best animations, but it's violent as hell, especially when you shoot someone in slow motion and their head splits open like an overripe melon.

#22 Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2 is incredibly cartoonish in its violence, but once you've seen the Heavy with a demented grin and blood all over his face you'll never sleep soundly again.

#21 Prey

Prey remains a shocking game to play despite being out for years. Everything in this game dies a horrible, gory death—even the children.

#20 Postal 2

What Postal 2 lacked in gameplay, it more than makes up for in gore. You can set people on fire and pee on them to put them out. I guess that counts as a gameplay mechanic.

#19 MadWorld

Not to be confused with the Tears for Fears album, MadWorld is a Platinum Games title that stylizes its depiction of violence in a black and white world, and saturates with red blood.

#18 Splatterhouse

Splatterhouse is a remake of the original Splattehrouse from 1998. This utterly violent game allows you to beat the hell out of monsters with everything from wooden planks to meat cleavers. Your arms can even be cut off and used to bat enemies.

#17 Harvester

In case you can't tell by the video, Harvester is an old game—a point and click adventure title with text input. But what it lacks in interactivity, it makes up for in gruesome FMV violence.

#16 Condemned 2: Bloodshot

Condemned 2 pits the protagonist against the homeless, all of whom have gone insane. Much of the game features bare fisted combat and melee, and is often gory. The game's context-sensitive environmental kills allow you to shove a person's head into a TV or kill them with a variety of other means.

#15 Prototype

In Prototype, the whole city is your playground for you to play in. If someone's standing in your way, just pick them up and throw them into a car.

#14 Wolfenstein

The Wolfenstein remake was underrated and cast as being little more than another mindless FPS. But those who played it can certainly recall how violent it is. Shoot a Nazi in the throat and he'll clutch his neck until he bleeds to death.

#13 RAGE

You can shoot, splatter, and slice every enemy in Rage six ways to Sunday with your assortment of weapons. Killing the smaller enemies in quick succession with the wingsticks is nothing short of satisfying.

#12 Alien Vs Predator 3

There's nothing worse than watching a man dissolve from the corrosive spit of an Alien. If living out Ripley's worst nightmare is what you're after, play this game.

#11 Left 4 Dead 2

If you thought the first game was violent, wait till you play the sequel. You can blow out chunks of the zombies who run at you en masse. Even with arms missing and their entrails hanging out of their bodies, they'll still grasp at you for a taste of your human flesh.

#10 FEAR 2

Not only is this game violent, it's also violent in slow-motion. It's also creepy, thanks to the appearance of Alma.

#9 Punisher

True to the comic book series, Punisher allows you to torture and maim your enemies—or at least threaten to, if you don't feel like being a complete badass.

#8 Dead Space 1 & 2

I've included both games as a single entry because they aren't too different in terms of graphical presentation and gameplay. Dead Space puts you in the role of Isaac Clarke, an engineer who has to face off against monsters made out of human corpses—or necromorphs—which you can kill in a variety of ways.

#7 Gears Of War 3

Saw the bodies of the Locust enemies in half with the game's signature weapon—the Mk2 Lancer Assault Rifle, or chainsaw gun.

#6 Bulletstorm

Bulletstorm's a game that doesn't take itself too seriously, and neither should you. Just sit back and enjoy the violence as you propel your enemies at spikes or simply kick them to death.

#5 The Darkness II

Dismember your enemies limb from limb with your two demonic arms or shoot them to death with the assortment of weapons at your disposal.

#4 God Of War 3

Nothing says 'gore' like twisting a man's head off and using it to fire a laser—though the worst part in this game happens when you chain a girl to a giant piece of gear so she can be ground up in it and jam the mechanism with her mangled body.

#3 Mortal Kombat (2011)

Fatalities are the very definition of violence. The latest Mortal Kombat lives up to the series' tradition by allowing players to rip their enemies to shreds—literally.

#2 Soldier Of Fortune

Soldier of Fortune is an old one, but it's one of the best. With body targeting, dismemberment and highly detailed animations, Soldier of Fortune remains one of the goriest games of all time.

#1 Manhunt 2

Strangle a man, choke him with a plastic bag, and jam a lead pipe into his face. You can do all of this, and more, in Manhunt. It's one of the few games on this list to actually earn a ban for its depiction of gore.

CBS Moving Forward With How I Met Your Dad

CBS Moving Forward With How I Met Your Mother Spinoff, How I Met Your Dad

Kids, you better go to the bathroom. This may take awhile.

Just a couple of weeks after news broke of a possible How I Met Your Mother spinoff,The Wrap reports that CBS have indeed decided to move forward and greenlight a pilot for the project - called How I Met Your Dad now (yes, they slightly tweaked it from How I Met Your Father).
The project will not center on any of the existing HIMYM characters and is essentially a thematic spinoff, taking the same approach as the hugely successful series, from a female point of view. It is expected that the spinoff characters may be introduced on How I Met Your Mother before the end though, backdoor pilot style.
How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are writing and executive producing How I Met Your Dad with Emily Spivey, a former SNL and Parks and Recreation writer, who also created Up All Night.
While How I Met Your Mother is wrapping up this year, after nine seasons, it's doing so while still the highest-rated comedy among CBS's current Monday night lineup - hence the desire by CBS and producer 20th Century Fox to somehow continue what I guess we can now refer to as a franchise.
My suggestion on how to make How I Met Your Dad feel like more of a true spinoff? It should star Lynsdy Fonseca and be set in the year 2039. Romantic comedy + future tech!
