Tutorial: How to Install/Upgrade Android 4.4 KitKat on Samsung Galaxy Note N7000
Hello Note users, Today we are going to teach you How to install or upgrade your Samsung galaxy Note N7000 to new Android 4.4 KitKat version with simple step by step tutorial. Installation method steps are very each to follow, before doing any step just its good read and understand first. Even if you have any question regarding installation just put it our comment.
1. Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 Device ( This installation method will work only on Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 )
2. Your must be rooted and ClockworkMod recovery need to be installed.
3. Hope you installed USB drivers in your computer to connect device with computer.
4. (optional) Get backup of your Note's all personal information.
5. Your Galaxy Note must be charged up to 70%
6. Enable USB debugging mode on the device. Go to "Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging mode" or "Settings > Developer options > USB debugging"
7. Download the OmniROM 4.4 for the Galaxy Note N7000 and the Google Apps package to the computer.
Note: We are not responsible to any issue or damaged after updating with Android 4.4 KitKat. so try at your own risk, good luck.
How to install ( Step by Step Process )
1. Connect your Galaxy Note with computer using USB
2. Now, copy and paste OminiROM 4.4 and Google Apps Package into SD card of your Galaxy Note. Don't extract the files.
3. Disconnect Galaxy Note from PC and Switch Off your Note.
4. Reboot into Recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Home and Power keys at the same time till the Samsung logo appears.
5. Create nAndroid backup of the current ROM inside the RecoveryMode by selecting "backup and restores > backup" The saved ROM is stored inside the microSD card of the Galaxy Note.
6. Perform a full wipe on the device. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" Then select "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."
7. Go back to the main menu and then install the OmniROM 4.4. Select "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD > search the ROM you have copied earlier > confirm installation." Apply the same with the Google Apps.
8. Once the installation has been completed, go back and then select "reboot system now"
9. The Galaxy Note N7000 will reboot and may reach up to 5 minutes before reaching the home screen.
